Yes – it is a sheer. It softens the daylight and blurs the view, but it doesn't darken the room, and at night with the lights on people outside can see in.

Is it sold as a pair?

No – it is sold as 1 panel. Most windows need 2, so add two to your cart.

Which size do I need, and will it fit my curtain rod?

For soft, full folds, choose panels whose total width is about twice the width of your curtain rod. Then measure from the curtain rod to where the curtain should end: 72 in usually reaches below the sill, 84 in or 92 in the floor from a standard curtain rod height, 98 in or 102 in a higher curtain rod. The grommets are 1.5 in across inside, so they slide onto most standard curtain rods.
